It's been 8 months and counting for me by choice. I'd like to have sex, but I'm now waiting for the "right person."
I have a friend who was just diagnosed with herpes and continues to have sex and without telling her partners. You should be proud of yourselves for having integrity and restraint!  |

| Oh wow, and I was angry that my ex didn't disclose to me about his genital warts * and gave them to me. I can't even imagine what I would do if I had herpes. That is far worse!!! |

16 months and going out of my mind...its really beginning to mess with my self perception. I know that no malice was intended, but you may want to rethink posting views categorizing conditions as better or worse than each other. Statistically and realistically speaking there are plenty of people who come to this board who are dealing with more than one condition (including HSV), and by doing so you're effectively telling them that at least you're not them.

I didn't mean to offend. I do have a friend with herpes, and I know that she gets at least one outbreak a month. I'm not saying that I have it easier than her or anything. I'm simply stating the fact, that I would be very angry if someone knowingly infected me with herpes.

I did not have sex for a year. Partly because it was too painful but also for fear of infecting other people. I then went back to the person who gave it to me and slept with them a bit, but it's a nasty situation as he's benn abusive. Fells like being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I miss sex and intimacy a huge amount but at the same time go out of my way to avoid it so I don't have to tell anyone. |

Yep. I've had warts for about a year. The same warts too!
My stupid doctor told me that I should just wait it out till they disappear. I listened to her!!! It's been a year! I even went back to her a few time since and she told me to just wait!
I have only recently discovered this forum and found that I can treat the warts quite easily (with ACV)! Which is working great!
And yeh I way MISS SEX! I keep meeting heaps of great girls, getting their number and not following it up a all. And I work in a male dominated industry and everyone keeps asking me why I don't have a girlfriend or why I'm not getting any..
...but I will wait till I'm completely wart free and with no re-occurrence for at-least a few months and then think about getting involved with someone.
oh and popsicle...don't put up with that shit. You shouldn't cop that sort of abuse in exchange for wanting intimacy. |
